identity politics 101

“learned from the abundant wheat,
that identity

repeats itself
and so I am what I came to be”
-Pablo Neruda

I was born me – went to college and learned words
behind genderqueer mixed race lower class identities

and I eventually discover
how my body and mind matching, matched up those ideas and over-complicated-theories.

listen now:

I only want to be to friends with you if you are:

queer
woman
poor
mixed race
latina
or
all the above?

I am a most parceled heart
I need you to be cut
open
too.
